On Wednesday, April 14th<\/sup> (7:00pm-8:30pm CST, 8:00pm-9:30pm EST) the Bell Museum<\/a> and the University of Minnesota continue their series of virtual public events as Climates of Inequality<\/em> hosts with a discussion exploring the intersection of environmental justice, tribal sovereignty, and academic research in Minnesota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This public dialogue focuses on manoomin\/psi\u03b7 (wild rice) and collaborations including First We Must Consider Manoomin\/Psi\u03b7 (Wild Rice)<\/a><\/em>, which brings together tribes, intertribal treaty organizations, and University of Minnesota faculty, staff, and students. The project prioritizes tribal views on the cultural significance and ecology of manoomin\/psi\u03b7 (wild rice), and on policies related to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
